Motorcycle Driving Course A1
The course is a thorough preparation for the Module One and Module Two tests. The course covers hill starts and angle starts from cars parked, as well as basic road skills such as controlled stopping and emergency response.

Theory
The course includes the necessary theoretical preparation for the test. You can study on your own using online lessons and the theory materials. You will receive instructions on how to participate in these classes (remotely via the virtual classroom in Finnish) after registering in our student system and you can choose the most convenient time slot from the available sessions.
In this phase your instructor will guide you understand the fundamentals of motorcycling. You will learn about the rules of the road and safety tips and also some of the more complicated components of the vehicle. You will acquire the fundamental knowledge required for all license categories and also the specific requirements for the category you select.
The eas motorcycle driving theory course, included in the course pack, will prepare you for the motorcycle driving licence theoretical test. This is a crucial element of your education and will allow you to pass the test easily. The theory test is a written test and consists of 40 questions as well as two clips of hazard perception. To pass the test, you must be able to answer at least 28 of 40 questions correctly.
In the majority of cases, your eas theory test will be taken one month prior to the date you reach the age requirement for the specific license category you are studying for. The test must be conducted with an approved DVSA tester. If you fail your test at the first attempt, then you'll be required to wait for a minimum of 2 weeks before you can take it again.
If you haven't passed your theory test prior to the date you begin your eas-practical training, we'll ask you to remit any balance in your course that is unpaid in order to prevent depriving another student of their reserved place in this course. If you fail to complete the theory test by the date specified in your training schedule, we cannot book any DVSA test for you as a resit. In this case, you will be required to pay the appropriate resit fee at the time of booking.

In addition to the theory class, motorcycle driving courses include a variety of practical classes. These are the most important elements of your learning process and can be spread out over several weeks or months, depending on your requirements. This portion of the training will require you to own a motorcycle. It is important to choose a motorcycle that is easy to handle and not too fast or heavy. Start with moped or scooter with a 50cc engine.
The practical test is the next step following you have completed your theory course. It's divided into two parts: Module 1 and Module 2. The first part of Module 1 is an hour-long road ride. The second portion is an independent riding section lasting 10 minutes. You must pass both parts to get your licence.
You should practice basic motorcycle maneuvers, like the figure 8 slalom or emergency stop, to prepare for your module two motorcycle test. These skills will help you to know what the examiner is looking for. Make sure your bike is in good condition and that you have all the necessary gear including a helmet, gloves and jacket. Also, you should wear comfortable shoes, and ensure that you have your driving licence with you.
The motorbike driving license is valid only for two years. If you fail the test within this time it is necessary to go through the theory course again.
Module 5 is required if you want to change to a different category of vehicle. This is the advancement portion of the course that allows you to upgrade your license without needing to go through the entire IBT program all over again. This course must be taken on the motorcycle that you plan to use, and approved by your instructor.
You'll require a bike that is road-legal with L plates that are full-size front and back, and mirrors. You'll also have to make sure that it is appropriate for the test you're taking, and that you have a helmet and clothing suitable for the conditions.
The Assessment
You must have completed the initial Basic Training (IBT) before you can start training for your A1 motorcycle license. This is an eight hour course that teaches you the skills necessary for safe driving. It is part of the RSA's Graduated Driver Licensing Scheme and aids in improving road safety. After you have passed the IBT the instructor will give you feedback and will decide if you are ready to proceed to the next stage of training.
After you have completed the IBT test, your instructor will prepare you for the A1 practical exam. The test will be split into two parts. You must pass both to receive your licence. Module 1 includes off-road maneuvers like controlled stops, a slalom, and around cones. Module 2 is on-road and involves following a route with varied traffic conditions.
The Module 1 test is 20 minutes long and assesses your ability to perform off-road maneuvers like slow-speed rides or a figure eight. You'll also be asked to perform a U-turn and emergency stop.
After passing the module 1 & 2 tests, you can ride a motorcycle up to 35 kW. This is the initial step to a full A-license, and it will allow you to ride manual or automatic scooters or motorbikes.
Your A1 license will only last two years. After that, you'll have to upgrade to the A2 license that will grant you more freedom on the roads.
A1 courses consist of both theory and practical classes. The amount of training in the practical is contingent on the amount of you've had experience on a bike and the number of classes can differ from school to school. Sign up for the A1 course as soon as you can so that you can take both your theoretical and practical tests simultaneously. You'll also need to have the required equipment, such as a helmet and gloves. If you don't have the required equipment certain driving schools offer a loaner service.
Licensing
The Compulsory Base Training (CBT) is the initial step towards getting a motorcycle license. After passing the CBT, you can legally be able to ride a motorcycle up to 35 kW. This can range from a moped up to a motor scooter that is small.

The course lasts 12 hours, and is divided into three modules of four hours each. You must complete each module before you can pass the driving test for your category A1 driving licence. To pass the theory exam you must score at least 25 points. You must complete the test with a correct answer to all ten questions to pass the test and there are no re-takes. The test will take approximately 45 minutes and can be taken at an TUV or Dekra office of your choice.
The practical portion lasts 12 hours and is split into three modules of 4 hours each. You must be at least 18 years old in order to pass the practical course, and you must be able to drive any motorbike ranging from a 50cc to a 35kW motorcycle. You should also be able to demonstrate the ability to handle and control the vehicle in a variety of situations, such as passing, turning left or right, and changing lanes.
After you've completed your theory and practical lessons, you will be able to take the driving test for your category A1 license. The test consists of a series of riding exercises on the motorcycle provided by your instructor. You should also be able to show that you are able to manage the motorcycle under various situations and in all weather conditions.
To pass the test you must have completed at a minimum five hours of riding on Federal or Country Roads and four additional hours during daytime or before dawn. You must also complete the prescribed number of special rides. The instructor will notify you when you are ready to take the test and give you valuable tips for passing it.
